Dan McArdle

With a Bachelor of Construction Management from Deakin University, a Commercial Builder’s License and a wealth of experience in the commercial building sector, Dan's expertise is both learned and lived. Before founding Basis Builders with Rhys, he held roles in contract administration and project management, with several notable projects under his belt. After years in commercial construction and with the influence of Rhys’s craftsmanship, Dan found himself drawn to the precision and care that could be achieved in the residential sector. With a polished work ethic and an intimate understanding of the business, Dan ensures all tendering, costing and contractual processes are managed with the utmost competence.

Rhys Vleugel

Rhys started his career with a carpentry apprenticeship and obtained his Domestic Builder's License just a few years later. Experience across the domestic and commercial sectors saw him progress from a carpenter to a site foreman – a process that confirmed his alignment to residential construction. He held a clear vision for his own residential building company, so when the opportunity to start Basis Builders with Dan came up, he knew it was the right fit. Exposure to beautiful architecture from an early age has undoubtedly contributed to the passion he has for design – and making it come to life. Rhys's skills and attention to detail speak for themselves in the portfolio of projects he has managed and completed to date.
